Job Title: Financial Accountant (FA)
Location: Mbeya, Tanzania.
Position: Full time.
Tenure: Open ended contract
Reports to: Managing Director.

Background: Rogimwa Agro Company Limited was established and registered under the Companies Act, 2002 in 2014. The company is engaged in trading agricultural inputs, such as fertilizers, seeds, herbicides, insecticides and other agricultural-related inputs.

Job summary/Function:
The Financial Accountant role is hands on and vital to the efficient running of the financing systems of the company. The role will suit someone with a proven track record in maintaining a health financial status of a company.

The occupant is expected to be able to develop and implement relevant financial systems and document, as well as introduce new financial procedures relevant to the company’s line of business.

Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:-
To make sure that all financial transactions performed in the Company are adhered to the Company’s accounting & procurement policies and procedures.
Recording day to day financial transactions made in the Company to ensure transaction cycles are complete in order to avoid disallowable costs and at last to arrange accountability soft copies and hard copies through the art of filling system.
To make sure that all expenditure are reasonable, allocable and allowable.
Payroll administration and preparation of financial management reports on monthly basis.
Reviewing and processing expense reports and other financial accountability.
Monitoring and resolving bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences.
Establishing and monitoring the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
Performance of budgeting and budgetary control.
Compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare reliable and relevant financial statements.
Financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process.
Knowledge of tax issues and ensuring compliance related to statutory contributions and deductions – proper computation of PAYE, SDL, corporate tax and other withholding and non –withholding taxes.
On time submission of statutory deductions and contributions to the respective authorities (TRA and NSSF etc.)
In coordination with the General Manager regarding Timesheets/Leave and Benefits tracking/New staff letters.
All other administrative and financial management duties as directed by the senior administrators.

Qualifications:
Advanced Diploma/Degree in finance, accounting or business – related field.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in Financial Management and/ or accounting; preferably with a reputable medium sized Company.
Ability to multi-task and manage competing demands.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; particularly Word and Excel.
Experience with QuickBooks accounting system will be an added advantage.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality for the Company and all staff proprietary matters.
